My Digital Life (some with AI) as of 2023

Since moving into the digital workspace, I noticed a few things I’ve been doing and here I am to share what I’m doing.
(Disclaimer: I have no affiliation towards the links present in this post. It’s just linked to provide more information should you be curious towards the tools I use.)
Apps
I’ve been using Notion as my planner and database to organise my life. On top of it, there’s also an AI function, which I recently gained access, that helps me in a few ways like outlining a blog entry such as this one.
Drawing
I can’t get rid of drawing from my life. I’m using Affinity Photo 2.0 and Affinity Designer 2.0 for my regular drawing and illustrating. On top of that I’m using an XP-Pen Artist 15.6” Pro Digital Graphic Drawing tablet. (To be honest, I don’t know what they’re actually called. But it’s a monitor that I can draw on.)
Journaling
To maintain my mind from those tricky mental health problems, I journal to keep track of most things. I use fountain pens, I’m a big fan of the Goulet Pencast and I listen to them when I work. Maintaining my fountain pens is also something which could scratch that itch of obsession towards my writing and drawing tools. I use the Pilot Metropolitan or MR with their M (Medium) nib.
Speaking of those pens, I find the Diamine inks cheap in Malaysia and I could afford them. My absolute favourite ink is the Diamine Bilberry ink which is a dark purple ink. I spent a good amount of money on Fountain Pens, Inks and Paper because I’m quite the stationery nerd.
The act of writing and drawing something physically is still very therapeutic for me. But due to the increasing amount of waste (in terms of paper, paint and other materials) I generate, I had to move half whatever I can into the digital realm.
Reading
Reading is more situational for me. If I can’t find the book (which I usually can’t) in the print format, I tend to get the Kindle edition instead. Many art theory and philosophical books are not available in print format in Malaysia. Hence, I get them (sometimes cheaper) in Kindle format and read from there.
Note taking goes into the Notion app.
Conclusion
In conclusion, integrating AI into my digital life has been helpful in many ways. Notion's AI function has made outlining and planning much easier and more efficient. Although I still value physical writing and drawing, I have also found digital tools like Affinity apps and my drawing tablet to be very helpful. Reading has also become more convenient with the use of Kindle. Overall, I believe that incorporating AI and digital tools into my life has allowed me to be more productive and efficient while still maintaining my love for traditional methods.
The conclusion is written by Notion Ai. Can you tell?
